English Language Requirements

The Professional Internship Program has been designed for international students and graduates. As you will be working in Australia, you will need to have a certain level of English language proficiency before you can apply.

To be eligible for the Navitas Professional Internship Program you need a minimum of General IELTS 5.5 or equivalent (TOEFL: IBT 69-70/CBT 196/PBT 525) unless you are a citizen of the United States of America, Republic of Ireland or the UK.

What is IELTS?

A widely accepted international measurement for English language skills is the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).

IELTS is a testing system that assesses the language ability of people who need to work or study in an environment where English is the spoken and written language.

The test consists of four components: listening, reading, writing and speaking.

How can I sit the test?

There are IELTS testing centres throughout Australia and in many other countries throughout the world. To sit for the test you will need to complete an application form. You can download the form or contact your nearest IELTS centre.
